The Reliable Wood Burning Sauna HeaterThere are many options available when it comes to choosing the type of heater that will go into your sauna equipment and all of them have certain advantages and disadvantages. However, despite all the options, it seems that a wood burning sauna heater is at par with gas stoves and electrical heaters. There are several choices of wood burning sauna heaters available today which include a glass door, a water tank that produces hot water for the steam, and many types of chimneys. Wood sauna heaters are the traditional variety and have been in use for several decades now. Not many people can dispute the fact that though they may at times seem inconvenient, they still create that special atmosphere for the person in the sauna with the woody smell which gives a hint of the outdoors and the sound of crackling fire that inspires thoughts of relaxation. It is even suggested that by cutting and carrying their own wood to the heater, the sauna bather is getting more in touch with nature than simply flicking a switch on the electric version. There are, of course, some environmental considerations today with rules and regulations in residential zones where it may not be possible to use wood burning sauna heaters. If you live in such a location, you may not be able to use this type of sauna and you will be forced to choose between an electric and a gas heater. The resulting environment may not offer the same sort of ambiance, but you will have the advantage of a lesser amount of cleaning and maintenance work. Additionally, the electric and gas heaters do not create any smoke or leave behind ash. It is only natural to assume that if you live in a gas powered home, you would opt for a gas heated sauna and if your home is powered by electricity, you might choose an electric one. However, if you do live with electric power then, do not dismiss the gas heated sauna because it is far more economical than electric ones. Moreover, the gas heaters have other positive features. They provide better temperature control, a more even, consistent temperature throughout the session and are much more user friendly. Of course, in cases where it is difficult to get electricity to the sauna, the preferred choice might be the gas heated one. The wood burning sauna heater and the gas heater are appear to be preferable over the electric versions, though they are not exactly unpopular. This is primarily due to the fact that they are so easy to use, especially in urban areas where the use of electricity is readily available. They are efficient, sleek, safe, and come in many sizes with a variety of customizable options. The most positive aspects are that they are odorless, soundless, and do not create any pollution. Each type of sauna has its particular benefits and though the wood option will be preferred by those who wish to be closer to nature, it is all simply a matter of choice as they all do a fine job.
